His style belongs with the modernism, but  he goes beyond the dictated rules and creates unique buildings around  the world. Nowadays, we still admire his works, such as the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Hospital de Sant Pau. Moreover, Domènech i Montaner is also commited to his country. He studies its medieval past, rescues its heritage and defends its rights in the Congrés dels Diputats. He doesn't always gets what he wants, but all this work has its rewards. Thanks to his contributions, Catalonia will no longer be the same.
