Conscious of this paradox, the forty-five contributors to this volume engage in cultural translations of various kinds, touching upon questions of representation, interpretation and the traversing of cultures. Their texts deal with world literatures in English and issues of postcolonial theory, and range from ficto-criticism and biotext to literary analysis and theoretical essay.
