La necrópolis de Qubbet el-Hawa fue el lugar de enterramiento elegido por la élite de Elefantina, la capital del primer nomo del Alto Egipto, durante el Reino Antiguo, el Primer Período Intermedio y el Reino Medio. Durante la Dinastía XII se produjo un avance significativo tanto en lo que se refiere al diseño de las capillas funerarias como a los métodos de construcción empleados. Los complejos  funerarios de este período destacan, además de por su buen estado de conservación, porque su tipología es distinta a la del resto de grandes tumbas privadas contemporáneas. Este trabajo se centra en el estudio, desde el punto de vista arquitectónico y constructivo, de estos grandes complejos funerarios. En la primera parte, de contextualización (capítulos 2 y 3), se presenta un panorama general de la necrópolis, haciendo hincapié en algunos de los factores que influyeron para elegir este lugar como cementerio de la élite de Elefantina. En la segunda parte (capítulos 4 a 8) se realiza un minucioso estudio arquitectónico (y constructivo) de los complejos funerarios, haciendo una clara diferenciación entre sus tres principales espacios. Por último, en el capítulo 8, dedicado a las conclusiones, se presenta una síntesis de los aspectos más relevantes del estudio realizado. SUMMARY The necropolis of Qubbet el-Hawa was the burial place of choice for the elite of Elephantine, the capital of the First Nomo of Upper Egypt, during the Early Kingdom, the First Intermediate Period, and the Middle Kingdom. During the 12th Dynasty there was a significant development in both the design of funerary chapels and the construction methods employed. The funerary complexes of this period are notable not only for their good state of preservation, but also because their typology is different from that of other contemporary large private tombs. This work focuses on the study, from an architectural and constructional point of view, of these large funerary complexes. The first, contextualising part (Chapters 2 and 3)  presents an overview of the necropolis, with emphasis on some of the factors that influenced the choice of this site as the cemetery of the  Elephantine elite. The second part (Chapters 4 to 8) provides a detailed architectural (and constructional) study of the funerary complexes, making a clear differentiation between their three main spaces. Finally, Chapter 8, devoted to the conclusions, presents a synthesis of the most relevant aspects of the study carried out.
