Jorge Majfud reflects once again on the economic, political, and cultural realities of recent years, with «an outsider's view from the center»: the culture of masks of the United States' cultural industries and national unconscious, the hyper-fragmentation of the contemporary individual, the construction of reality through social narratives, the narrative dictated by the major social powers of money  and the social castes who have taken us steadily toward a new form of  feudalism, one no longer based on ownership of the land but of finance capital. In all of the essays that comprise this book, one can  see the urgency of responding to the historical moment, to the specific events that have occurred over the past two decades, but with  an unflinching effort to contextualize events within their greater historical framework. Because, as the author asserts, forgetting is one of the principal weapons of moral, social, and, ultimately, military violence. Jorge Majfud reflexiona una vez más sobre las realidades económicas, políticas y culturales de los últimos años, con  "una mirada desde fuera del centro": la cultura de las máscaras de las industrias culturales y el inconsciente nacional de los Estados Unidos, la hiper-fragmentación del individuo contemporáneo, la construcción de la realidad a través de narrativas sociales, la narrativa dictada por las grandes potencias sociales del dinero y las castas sociales que nos han llevado firmemente hacia una nueva forma de feudalismo, que ya no se basa en la propiedad de la tierra, sino en  el capital financiero. En todos los ensayos que componen este libro se aprecia la urgencia de responder al momento histórico, a los acontecimientos específicos que se han producido en las dos últimas décadas, pero con un esfuerzo inquebrantable por contextualizar los acontecimientos dentro de su marco histórico más amplio. Porque, como afirma el autor, el olvido es una de las principales armas de la violencia moral, social y militar.
