On November 17-18, 2006, the Instituto de Filosofia da Linguagem (Institute of Philosophy of Language - IFL), Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH/UNL) (Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, New University of Lisbon-FCSH/UNL), funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (Science and Technology Foundation - FCT), organized an international conference on Hannah ArendtÆs philosophy (1906-75). This conference was centred on a political problematic, celebrating the centenary of her birth. These proceedings show the great quality of the papers presented by experts from all over the world, who during those two days realized an excellent status questionis of ArendtÆs philosophy. On the one hand, ArendtÆs thought calls upon the great themes of contemporary culture and those questions that we prospectively foresee as present at the beginning of this century. On the other hand, Arendt represents a unique link between classical Greek philosophy of and modernity, which  is not lost in a poor historicism. Her philosophy is a great stimulus  for the self- understanding of contemporary man and for the critical understanding of his promising and dangerous political and moral constructions. On the behalf of IFL, I thank Regina Queiroz and João Tiago Proença, scholarship researchers from the of Science of Technology Foundation and members of this Institute, for the conception and organization of this conference, which shows the quality of the work we have been developing for some years in the Portuguese philosophical panorama. [The Director of IFL, António Marques] ******************************************************** ******************************************************** ******************************************************** Le 17 et 18 Novembre 2006, o Instituto de Filosofia da Linguagem (lÆInstitut de Philosophie du Langage - IFL) de la Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH/UNL) (Faculté des Sciences Sociales et Humaines de LÆUniversité Nouvelle de Lisbonne - FCSH/UNL),  soutenu para la Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (Fondation pour la Science et la Technologie - FCT), a réalisé un colloque international sur la philosophe Hannah Arendt (1906-75). Profitant du centenaire de sa naissance, le colloque a centré son attention sur la problématique politique. Ces actes révèlent lÆexcellent niveau des communications présentées par les experts mondiaux, qui pendant ces deux jours ont réalisé ce quÆon peut appeler un excellent status questionis de la philosophie dÆArendt. DÆun côté, la pensée de la philosophe rappelle comme aucune autre au 20ème siècle les grands thèmes de la culture actuelle et les problématiques qui sans doute seront prospectivement présentes au début de ce siècle. DÆun autre côté, Arendt représente un trait dÆunion absolument singulier entre la  philosophie classique des Grecs et la modernité, faisant revenir une tradition qui ne se perds absolument pas dans un pauvre historicisme. Sa philosophie est très stimulante pour la capacité dÆauto compréhension de lÆhomme contemporain et de la compréhension critique des constructions politiques et morales dans ce quÆelles ont de plus promettant ou dangereux.
